The Bodega Cicchitti story dates back to the late 19th Century when Italian wine maker Don Giuseppe Mondati came to Argentina. The winery now has an estate of 240 acres, where all of Cicchitti’s wines are grown and produced.
Located just 11km outside of Mendoza, Argentina, Bodega Cicchitti is one of the closest wineries to the city. It has a breathtaking view of the Andes, where José Antonio Cicchitti and his team create their award-winning wines.
This Malbec is estate grown on 30-year-old vines. It is ruby red in color with violet reflections. Moderately floral on the nose, notes of fresh berries, vanilla, and bittersweet chocolate are present as well. Friendly but persistent tannins, plum, cherry, and French and American oak characterize the palate. Pairs well with grilled meat dishes.
This blend of 60% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot is barrel aged 12 months with an additional 30 months in the bottle. It has an intense ruby red color with dark purple hues. The nose is highly aromatic and spicy featuring ripe berries. Structured on the palate, notes of plums, blackberries, and blueberries are highlighted above black pepper and licorice, denoting a subtle aftertaste of vanilla, chocolate, and tobacco. Excellent with savory pies, game, and succulent sauces. Decanting 30 minutes prior to serving is recommended.
